Its seems Google is updating the Pagerank. Currently, at the time of writing this post we have Pagerank of 0, so no pagerank, however I have requested a couple of my friends to linkback to this blog a few days back, so lets see what I get in this update.
I have not yet started submitting this blog to directories or seach engines, however I have noticed that Google has already crawled this blog so quickly. I believe we will get a Pagerank 5 straightaway, but no body knows how Google technology works.
While Google is updating the Pagerank, there are many jumps in pagerank, some higher pagerank websites are way down to PR2 or PR3 and some PR2 show PR4-PR5, but this remains for a couple of hours / days. I believe this is because of the updating process of Pagerank on many Google Data centers, so once the update is complete you get a static Pagerank until next update.
So if we were lucky enough to get in Google before the pagerank update process we will definitely see some pagerank in next couple of days.
I really enjoyed this flash animation, and am pretty damn sure you will also love it. I remember when the Flash and Swish were new in the market, all the websites were loaded with Flash animations, but still since the Adobe has bought Macromedia, there are a lot of fully Flash based websites, and we all love those effects. But personally I think the Flash trend is fading since the arrival of Javascript and utilization of those Javascript functions currently known as Ajax, however its a never ending discussion, lets enjoy the flash animation by alanbecker.
Ok, here is an interesting read, however this has been done several times to Google and Yahoo as well, let me quote a few lines..
An advertiser sued Google Inc. in federal court Tuesday claiming the company deceived him and charged for ads displayed on third-party Web sites, even though he left blank an “optional” box that seemed to address the issue.
The dispute is over Google’s popular AdSense program, which targets ads to keywords in articles and other content at participating sites. The program complements the traditional AdWords program, which runs targeted ads alongside Google’s search results. Ads under both programs generate the bulk of Google’s revenues.
Well, this law suit is expert in such cases and seek multimillion dollar settlements. Now as I read this I personally think the Big G will have to think about the accusation and made some textual changes to their pages may be ? because as it states the person who has filed the accusation was mislead and misinformed by the wrong text on the Google page. You can read the full story here.
Well, I must say you must be smart enough to get yourself on inernet marketing, not just someone who doesnt know what optional means and how it will work. Good luck Google.
Well, me and my wife got a great gift from Umm’s grand mother, and I really loved that, its a special dress that is very popular among the tribes in Pakistan (tribal areas of pakistan), and I was really excited when I saw it, here you go
A few days back Alexa announced the implementation of their new ranking algorithm, that has effected thousands of the websites’ rankings. Most of the webmaster’s claiming that this new ranking has dropped them and their ranking was badly effected, for example one my website’s ranking dropped from 12000 to almost 33000. But this new algorithm is supposed to provide more realistic results.
How it used to Work
According to Alexa, the users who had installed the Alexa Toolbar were the source of information for the website’s ranking. It means the ranking was dependent on the users only using the Alexa Tool, if any user haven’t installed the Toolbar will not effect your ranking even if he regularly visits your website. Now, this was already a lame system, because people were already tricking it easily by using Alexa Toolbar and visiting their own website to increase their Alexa Rank. And there were a couple of scripts as well that were sending requests to Alexa using proxies to increase Alexa Rank quickly.
Is Alexa Important for ranking
Well, the answer can be YES and NO at the same time. Yesfor the people who were already cheating other webmasters by selling their website and showing Alexa Rank, and the other group of webmaster who were showing Alexa Rank to the potential advertisers, I mean AdBrite shows the Alexa ranking and advertiser trusting the Alexa Rank purchase the Ad Space on any site with good alexa ranking. No for the people like me and you, because its useless, it used to provide fake results already and Alexa has committed by introducing completely new system that does not reflect the previously existed system. So how knows after a couple of years, they will introduce something knew and tell us “we have improved our ranking system”.
If you ask me just concentrate on developing your website with some good content and generating traffic. If you have time to waste then keep checking your Alexa Rank and try improving it. Concentrate on real traffic rather than fake results.
